Bollywood media recently reported that Pooja Hegde would be the leading lady in the fourth installment of the popular Kanchana franchise. She was said to play a character that significantly influences the storyline in surprising ways, and it was mentioned that Pooja instantly agreed to join after hearing the script.
However, the latest update reveals that not only Pooja Hegde but also the stunning Nora Fatehi will have a crucial role in this horror-comedy film, directed by Raghava Lawrence. The casting of both Pooja and Nora was confirmed by Manish Shah of Goldmine Telefilms, known for pioneering the release of dubbed Hindi films on YouTube.
Manish Shah is producing Kanchana 4 and shared that the film began shooting yesterday. He also confirmed that the movie will have a digital release just eight weeks after its theatrical debut. In other words, the Hindi version of Kanchana 4 will be released widely across national cinema chains.
The Kanchana series has a significant fan following in Hindi-speaking regions, especially after Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar remade it as Laxmmi. Horror films are currently trending in India, and if Kanchana 4 delivers, it has the potential to be a major box-office hit.
