If a film remains stuck in the lab for over a decade, no one really expects it to succeed. But Madha Gaja Raja broke this negative trend, collecting over ₹40 crore and creating a major sensation in the South Indian film trade. Even though it was released only in Tamil, the level of response it received was beyond the expectations of its director and producers.

Recently, actor Vishal has been making several high-budget action and elevation films, but he hadn’t tasted success like this. Now, with Madha Gaja Raja turning out to be a hit, he is overwhelmed with joy. This success has also sparked hopes for many stalled projects in Kollywood.

Currently, nearly 30 films in Kollywood are waiting for release. The Vikram-Gautham Menon collaboration Dhruva Natchathiram has been financially draining its investors for seven years. Despite continuous efforts, Custody fame Venkat Prabhu’s directorial Party has not been able to make it to theaters.

The Queen remake Paris Paris, starring Kajal Aggarwal in the lead role, is stuck due to financial troubles. Other films like Idam Porul Yaeval (Vijay Sethupathi), Naragasooran (Aravind Swami-Shriya), Agni Siragugal (Vijay Antony), and Ka: The Forest (Andrea) are still awaiting release.

Apart from these, movies like Sathuranga Vettai 2 (Trisha-Aravind Swami), Maya (SJ Suryah), Garjanai (Trisha), The Test (Nayanthara-Madhavan-Siddharth), Valimaiyil (Vijay Antony), Gandhi Talks (Vijay Sethupathi), and Flashback (Prabhu Deva) are also yet to hit the screens.

The films mentioned here feature actors familiar to Telugu audiences. After witnessing the success of Madha Gaja Raja in Tamil, which is all set to deliver an extraordinary entertainment experience to the Telugu audience with its grand release on January 31st, many directors and producers are now exploring ways to finally bring their long-delayed projects to theaters. Notably, most of these films have already completed shooting.
