In a shocking incident in Hyderabad, a man lured a woman with the promise of film opportunities and allegedly assaulted her.
According to reports, the victim, a married woman working as a housekeeper in Manikonda, had separated from her husband due to personal disputes. Hoping to secure financial stability through acting, she moved into a hostel in Ameerpet 15 days ago and began searching for junior artist roles in the Krishna Nagar and Indira Nagar areas.
During this time, she came into contact with Katekonda Raju, who claimed to be working in Tollywood’s direction department. Three days ago, he invited her to Heaven Hotel in Krishna Nagar, stating that auditions were taking place. On the first day, he conducted a photo shoot and asked her to return the next day. When she went to the hotel room the following day, he allegedly assaulted her.
The victim later approached the Jubilee Hills police and filed a complaint. Based on her statement, a case was registered under sections BNS 64, 79, 115, and 351(2), and the police have launched an investigation into the matter.
