Mythological films are facing significant challenges in the country, with unexpected legal cases and religious leaders criticizing the inaccurate representation of key events and characters. Recently, Prabhas and Deepika Padukone’s sci-fi mythological drama, Kalki 2898 AD, came under intense scrutiny.
Now, Jai Hanuman is facing its own legal troubles. According to recent reports, a lawyer from Hyderabad has filed a petition against the makers of Jai Hanuman, accusing them of inappropriate portrayal of Lord Hanuman in the teaser released last year. The advocate, Tirumala Rao, has approached the Nampally court, demanding action against Mythri Movie Makers and the Jai Hanuman team.
In his petition, Rao argues that the teaser disrespects Lord Hanuman by showing his face through Rishab Shetty. He claims that this portrayal could mislead future generations about Lord Hanuman’s image and has called for the immediate removal of the controversial visuals. As of now, the producers at Mythri Movie Makers have not issued an official statement regarding the matter. Jai Hanuman is a highly anticipated sequel to the successful film Hanu-Man, directed by Prasanth Varma.
