Yash is currently working on Ramayana – Part 1 in Mumbai, filming scenes alongside Ranbir Kapoor. The KGF star is portraying the powerful role of Ravana in Nitesh Tiwari’s mythological epic. The film also stars Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, and Yash. Ranbir and Sai Pallavi have already completed some key sequences, and now Yash has joined the set and is also co-producing the project.
Reports indicate that Yash started filming for Ramayana – Part 1 on February 21 after spending two days trying on costumes. They are currently shooting thrilling battle scenes, including significant war sequences, at Aksa Beach in Mumbai. Once this segment is done, they will move to a studio in Dahisar to film the next set of scenes.
The filmmakers are combining real filming locations with green screens and extensive special effects. As of now, Ranbir is not involved in these scenes, as they don’t feature the major battle between Ram and Ravana. Other prominent actors are working alongside Yash for this portion of the shoot. Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana is being told in two parts, with the first installment scheduled for release during Diwali 2026, and the second part for Diwali 2027. Other key roles will be played by Lara Dutta, Sunny Deol, and Indira Krishna in this grand mythological tale.
