Game Changer, the much-anticipated big-budget film featuring the first-ever collaboration of Director Shankar and Ram Charan, has faced a massive failure at the box office. Despite the hype surrounding it, the movie failed to meet the expectations of both the audience and the stakeholders, leading to substantial losses. The trade industry is now calling it a “Game Over” for Game Changer.

The film struggled to pull in impressive numbers, even during the festive period, and after Sankranthi, its performance declined sharply. As a result, theatre owners are facing huge financial deficits and are unable to recover rents. With the movie’s theatrical run coming to an end in under two weeks, the trade has concluded that its box office journey is over.

The Telugu version of Game Changer managed to collect around 85 Cr share, while the total share for all versions is estimated to be approximately 100 Cr. Despite the sizeable figure, the political action drama could not even cover half of its investment. The Telugu distributors have had some respite, however, as they had bundled it with Sankranthiki Vasthunam, which has provided them with some relief.
