In Hyderabad, a man killed his wife and cooked her body in a pressure cooker!A few years ago, a shocking incident occurred in Delhi where a man killed his lover, cut her into pieces, and stored them in a fridge, later discarding the body parts in the forest in stages, which sent shockwaves across the country. Many people were horrified, asking, “Could anyone really commit such a gruesome act?” However, now a similar crime has taken place right here in Hyderabad! It’s not just surprising but a disturbing reality. The incident occurred in Meerpet, where a former soldier, suspicious of his wife, murdered her. Not only did he kill her, but he also chopped her into pieces and cooked her in a pressure cooker. He then placed the pieces into bags and threw them into a nearby district lake, feeding them to the fish.

This gruesome act, unimaginable to most, took place right in Meerpet. It happened on the 18th of this month. Gurumurthy, a retired soldier, had settled in Toopran within the Meerpet area after his retirement from the Indian Army. He was married to Madhavi and had two children. He received a pension from the army and worked as a security guard at a company. They had been married for 13 years. However, in recent times, Gurumurthy grew suspicious of Madhavi, and several disputes occurred between them. On the night of the 17th, he murdered her at home.

Afterward, he dismembered her body, cooked the pieces in a pressure cooker, and took them in different bags to throw them into the lake. The police later confirmed that the fish had consumed the body parts. To cover up the crime, Gurumurthy called Madhavi’s parents, pretending to be unaware, and asked if their daughter had arrived at their home for the festival, implying she was visiting her parents. Her parents, suspicious, went to the Meerpet police station for help.

Interestingly, Gurumurthy and his in-laws went to the police together, crying and claiming how much he loved his wife and asked them to help find her.

It took some time for the police to suspect Gurumurthy. Due to his background in the Indian Army, they initially didn’t question his honesty. However, after inquiring with neighbors and discovering there had been marital disputes, they decided to investigate his workplace. It was then that the truth began to unravel. After further questioning at the station, Gurumurthy admitted to the crime. However, due to the body parts being eaten by fish and other creatures, the police are now attempting to perform a DNA test to confirm the details.
