NTR is currently busy filming WAR 2 and will soon begin working on his next big project with director Prashanth Neel. The film, tentatively titled NTR-Neel, is slated for release on January 9th, 2026, leaving fans with exactly one year to eagerly await the movie’s arrival.
Prashanth Neel has confirmed that the film is not based on mythology, but is a period-action drama. The director has spent almost an entire year working on the film’s pre-production. The movie will be shot on grand, elaborate sets, with producers Mythri Movie Makers investing significantly in their construction.
The film will also feature a few international actors. Rukmini Vasanth, who is rumored to be part of the cast, recently completed her look test and is excited to share screen space with NTR. Additionally, the look tests for other key actors, including Tovino Thomas and Biju Menon, are underway, with both expected to play important roles in the film.
Filming is scheduled to begin on January 17 in Mangalore, Karnataka. The team also plans to shoot in international locations such as Sri Lanka, Mexico, and Ukraine. The entire shoot is expected to wrap up in around seven months.
NTR is reportedly dedicating around 100 days to the project, with the core team aiming for a Sankranti 2026 release.
