The tragic stampede during the release of Pushpa 2 at Sandhya theater has dramatically altered the atmosphere around star-studded film releases at single-screen theaters. In the past, fans would rush to theaters, eagerly vying for tickets to the first show, with the day marked by chaos, firecrackers, cutouts, and celebrations like palabhishekams. However, things have changed drastically since then.
Now, single-screen theaters have adopted a more cautious approach, embracing a “better safe than sorry” policy. A recent sighting at Sudarshan Theater in RTC X roads perfectly encapsulated this shift. The theater management posted a prominent signboard for the Game Changer release, clearly outlining their strict rules. The board stated: “No Ticket, No Entry.”
In addition to this, the management explicitly mentioned that firecrackers, lighters, paper, poster boards, and sprays would not be allowed on the premises. Fans were also reminded that entry would be strictly in a single line.
The theater made it clear that failure to adhere to these guidelines could result in jail time, leaving no room for exceptions. These regulations highlight the theater’s commitment to preventing any mishaps during large releases and ensuring the safety of everyone involved.
