Major Tollywood Films Set for Release During Sankranti; Andhra Pradesh High Court Issues Shocking Ruling
Big films are set to release during the Sankranti festival in Tollywood. Ram Charan’s “Game Changer” is scheduled for release on January 10th, and Nandamuri Balakrishna’s “Daaku Maharaaj” will be out on the 12th.
The Andhra Pradesh government allowed an increase in ticket prices for both films, but several petitions were filed in the High Court challenging this move. The petitions argued that the hike in ticket prices violated regulations and requested the court to revoke the government order.
After reviewing the petitions, the Andhra Pradesh High Court delivered a sensational verdict. While the government had allowed the ticket prices to be raised for 14 days, the court limited the price hike to just 10 days. According to the court’s decision, the increased ticket prices will be applicable only for the 10 days following the release of the films. This ruling is expected to have a significant impact on the box office collections of both films.
