The Oscars, one of the most prestigious film awards in the world, is well-known to everyone. This year, the 97th Academy Awards will be held in grand style, as usual. Several films from different countries are competing in various categories. Although multiple films from India were sent by the Federation, none of them secured an official entry into the Oscars race. However, some films, outside the Federation’s selection, have made it to the eligible list.
Among these films, Suriya’s big-budget movie Kanguva and Malayalam actor Prithviraj Sukumaran’s The Goat Life (Aadu Jeevitham) are in the running, along with four other films. These include the Hindi films Santosh and Swatantrya Veer Savarkar, as well as the Malayalam films All We Imagine is Light and Girls Will Be Girls. Voting for these films will start on January 8, and it will be interesting to see which of them makes it to the final list.
