Vijay Deverakonda has completed 80 percent of his upcoming film #VD12 with Gowtam Tinnanuri and will soon begin working on Rahul Sankrityan’s next project. Initially, the plan was to start Rahul’s film after Sankranti, but due to delays in the shoot of Gowtam’s film, Rahul’s project will now take a little longer to kick off.

Currently referred to as #VD14, this project has generated significant anticipation as it marks the collaboration between Vijay and Rahul following the success of Taxiwaala. With Mythri Movie Makers producing, the film is attracting widespread attention. The latest update on the film is that Ajay-Atul, the renowned music duo, have been brought on board to compose the score.

According to an exclusive source, the makers initially considered another top music composer, but the plan didn’t come to fruition. Subsequently, Ajay and Atul, known for their work in Bollywood and the Marathi film industry, were signed up. Rahul, a big fan of their music in films like Sairat, Agneepath (2012), Tumbbad, and Adipurush, felt they would be a perfect fit for his genre, which blends folk, grandeur, and melody.

This will be Ajay-Atul’s third Telugu film, following Shock (starring Ravi Teja), which featured the popular song “Madhuram Madhuram,” and Adipurush, whose music continues to be loved by audiences. The duo is known for incorporating live instruments and blending traditional and modern styles in their compositions. They also won a National Award for the Marathi film Jogwa – The Awakening (2009). Currently, they are also being considered for composing the music for Yellamma, the next directorial from Balagam Venu Yeldandi, starring Nithiin.

Set during the colonial period in India (1854-78), #VD14 tells the story of a short-lived hero, portrayed by Vijay Deverakonda, with a strong emotional narrative and intense action sequences. The first schedule will begin in Hyderabad, and filming will later move to the Rayalaseema region.
